That feeling when your birthday is in december and you just want to play with the snow on your special day... and just a few days before it, the snow melts... 
Well, this how I expressed my disappointment in december 2010, a few days before my tenth birthday.

Don't you love snow? Well, I certainly did as a child, and I still do now! This poem was written nine days before my tenth birthday, hoping that the snow would still be there on my special day...

Usually waking up in the morning is a bore
But not anymore!
Waking up to find your brother has taken the remote
It won't sink your boat!
This morning I was curled up in my bedding
When I heard a soft pitter patter from the weather outside.
I hopped up and out the window
Guess what I saw?
Snow!
So if your feeling sad and gloomy
And you can't watch your own TV
Then got on your coat
Go outside
And then you can gloat
On the ridiculous blanket of snow!
Not a pillow,not a sheet,not even some thick covers!
But a blanket! A blanket of snow.

I am so exited,
and I can't wait,
for this weekend,
I can't be late!

I'll bring some pizza,
(gluten free),
because I can't eat their pizza,
but mine is only for me!

See,this poem is not about school,
It is about ME
And what I did on my two days off
Being sick.
I went to the doctor,got medicine,visited a pharmacy.
Went to another pharmacy,read a book,watched TV,knit,
Wrote a story,missed my friends,
It was driving me round the bend
I slept in my mother's bed
Read another book,
Watched a boring news channel,
Didn't actually cook.
I did my homework,gave my brother my locker key
To fetch my lunchbox fom my locker while I watched TV
Then I knitted and watched reruns,
Designed fashions and wrote too,
I also drank lots water
And I think I got a bit fatter
I had a shower,went to drama and had a yougurt and something Else,and went off to bed.
Slept in until 10 o'clock.
Mum woke me up casually.
Don't worry,I didn't have to flee.
It was Saturday!
