We went to school together,
We were the best of friends.
But now we're far apart
Due to many odds and ends.
I know we never chat now,
I know we never call.
But deep inside I still have hope
That I'll see you after all.
I know we'll be changed,
Maybe unrecognisable
But deep down, I know my friends
Will forever be faithful.
I still remember my buddies,
Still this day and time.
I hope one day we'll meet again
And talk of auld lang syne.
