I'm going to be me now

I'm going to be me now,
when I'm sad I will show sad,
and when I'm happy I will show happy,
but I won't hide who I am.

I?
I used to be quiet and nice,
and behaved,
at least that's what they told me,
Am I still the same?

If I am who I am,
I'll find friends who like me like who I am,
and I will be able to stop pretending,
Because who I am is not following it is staying.
